Well I probably annoyed every single person in my private life with my crazy “boat idea” for a couple of years now. So it was time to bring this thing into action. Or as Benni put it “Max, our life will never get less complicated than right now. We either get real or we will never do it” (or similar). So he started looking and came up with a pretty darn beautiful boat.

So one might think “wow, 12 Meters thats huge”. Yes thats true for boats build from 1980 on. But this baby is from 1969. A real hippie, sleek and rock solid… but not spacious. Still the advantages where not to be ignored:
- In Berlin (where at least I live and you can get all boat stuff, used, cheap… just anything and we have a car!)
- Sitting up on the dry (so we can easily work on the hull)
- Super fair price for monthly “parking”
- Supposedly very good hull for sailing rough weather.
- The owner is the groundskeeper for the Berlin Yacht club for this area. So whenever we have a question, he is there to be asked
- And even better: Why should he sell us a shitty boat? He is right there all day and would have to take our crap 😀
So we bought it. And well… if Benni is half as good in fixing boats as he is in fixing rooms… we up for a good start.
